Merry Xmas everyone that celebrates - all the others - enjoy the days off, if you have 'em.
I went Xmas shopping on the 24th - and it was actually quite nice. Got a whole bunch of stuff at MANOR and had only one person queing in front of me at the cashier desk.
Oh, and for the first time, we invited a couple of friends for brunch last Sunday to our new flat - I took some pictrues, heres is a snapshot of Nina and me.
I'll be at home for New Years Eve and from the 2nd of January, I'll be in Davos for the O'Neill Evolution Snowboard contest... looking forward to take some pictures and to go snowboarding for a few days!
It's a nice little trolley you can use to carry your stuff if you walk, go shopping, skate or even with the bicycle.

Holy cow, it's weekend again. I was at the Good-Bye-Party of Soletechnology Europe in Oberwil last Friday. It was pretty peaceful an quiet - until Deniz found the RC Skateboard - yeah, a Remote Controlled, battery driven Skateboard. They even built a launch ramp.

We wanted to go to the Europapark in Rust today, to see DJ Bobo and his latest show called "VAMPIRES ALIVE". But then we went to IKEA in the morning and it took us longer then we thought - so no DJ Bobo but a peaceful afternoon at home, assembling IKEA stuff for our flat :-) it's getting so cosy over here, I don't want to go out anymore!

Today, I had the opportunity to interview Chris Daughtry and Brian Craddock from the band Daughtry. They came to visit us at Radio Basel 1. At the 2007 American Music Awards, they have won three times:
Breakthrough Artist
Best Adult Contemporary Artist and
Best Pop/Rock Album
They where really tired from the constant lack of sleep - but despite from being tired as hell, they where really happy with the success and the possibility to travel the world in order to promote their music. They actually never have the chance to really see any of the countries or cities they visit - it's all about promotion and playing gigs at the moment.
The guys where really nice and down to earth. Check out their debut album called Daughtry.
From mit December '07 until Feburary '08, they will have two months off - Chris Daughtry said, it's the first time in 4 years, he's having such a long time without any (musical) duties. On the 26th of December, Chris is going to have his 28th Birthday.

I was digging the archives of Stadtlauf.ch to see, if I find any older times then last year and I was successful - I found me in the list of 1999 where I had a time of 25 minutes and 14.9 seconds, 177th place. So I really have a steady pace :-) without any pace-maker. 0.9 seconds faster then this year!
I think in 1999 they even still had the old track profile up the Rhy-Sprung which was quite crazy.
Unfortunately, they didn't have the picture-service back then. I guess it was before the digital (-cam) revolution.
But I got you the pic from 2006 right here - stopping the time at 25:21.1

The start is at about 18h10, 2.5 laps, 5.5 km. Last year I was starting from the end of the field and had 25 minutes and 21 seconds :-)

Ooops, 10 days gone by like a fingers snap.
So we've moved in exactly one week ago and we're starting already feeling like we're at home. I'm chillin' in the bed, sunday morning, watching Federer vs. Ferrer, surfin' the web wirelessly. The sun is kissing our terrace, it's just so beautiful :-)
Oh, by the way - we've got a grocery store in our street that is also open on Sundays.
Today's actually a good day to go out and skate the BCB, (Black Cross Bowl). See you around!
Oh, and Federer has won the Masters Cup in China, congrats!

This Saturday, I followed Neil's Birthday Dinner invitation to Restaurant / Bar Mundial in Zurich.
The ostrich stake I ate, was delicious, sorry for all the vegetarians out there.
I got to know Neil around seven years ago, he recognized me as the guy from "Swizz Music Television" when I was at Kaufleuten one night and stepped up to me to invite me for a beer.

I was hosting the CinéCardNight movie "American Gangster" by Ridley Scott with Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe.
Great movie - a true story about the rise and fall of drug bosses, corrupt cops and the vietnam war.
The Flea-Market was all good - as always. Sold my old gear to make space for the new stuff :-)

Oh, that birthday party was really nice - the lounge on our terrasse was beeing used a lot.
Star of the evening was (besides Oli, celebrating his 30th birthday) a blackpuppy pug called Marie-Cocco. Nina instantly fell in love with that little thing, as you can see.
Of course we where using our grill - this time to make some delicious burgers - you know, the grill season never stops at Konradstreet 50, baby!
Oh, by the way, talking of hot stuff - tonight, I'll go to the movies to see Hot Fuzz - must be a funny movie I've heard.

Radio 105 is know for - well - doing radio. Tonight, 105 TV will be launched at the main station in Zurich. I got an invitation - let's see what they are up to with that TV thing.
This Weekend, I'm at freestyle.ch - as almost every year. Zimtstern has the biggest party-tent there and just on the other side, you can skate on a miniramp under another huge tent!

I went to see "Ewigi Liebi" Premiere last Thursday. It was lovely! If you like Swiss songs, go and see it, it's done really cool - good actors / singers, a great stage concept... I had to cry twice during that show, I was touched. But don't you worry, you'll also get to laugh a lot. Go with your loved one.

The K50-Bash was great... the floor in our crib is still sticky though... but I'm glad our floor has no carpet - it's just stone plates all over.
Now it's getting cold and rainy (14° Celsius)- it's going to be time for a first fondue soon :-)

Bring Your Own (Food, Meat, Booze) - we will have a little something spare to drink as well but more is always better :-)
What we can offer is SOUND (you can bring your iPod or USB memory-stick or your harddrive. I got the serrato-scratch-live system up and running.
We can also offer you LILLETTE - our superbe terrasse on the back of the house.
And we can offer you our GAS-GRILL so you can grill your animal-corpses and vegies.

I got one of those jobs that I told you about earlier - I'll appear on StarTV starting in September of this year with a show called "Neu im Kino ". I'll be on air every second week - every other week, Tanja Gutmann (Miss Switzerland of the year 1997) will be the host of that show.
We will present you all the new flicks that will make it to the movie theaters.

Happy Birthday Switzerland! I went to celebrate the Swiss National Day (1st of August) on the 31st of July and went to see the firework - they do that one night ahead, because almost everyone has the day off on the 1st of August.
Well, almost everyone as I said. I went to work at the radio from 7AM 'till 1PM. So I went home quite early.
On the 1st, I was invited at my girlfriends parents for dinner along with some other friends of the family.
PS: RoderBash'07 was great... no rain for once.
