I got invited to the opening of the MONTBLANC boutique at Marketplace in Basel. After having a look at the boutique, we all went to LES TROIS ROIS for an apéro, dinner, dessert and some cultural delights in between. Monsieur Pierre Amoyal played on his Stradivari violin for 45 minutes, accompanied by a female pianist.
Thanks a lot for the invitation. Anytime again :-) it was delicious.

Today, the 8th ESC started in Basel - the European Skateboarding Championship.
They have a mad Mini-Ramp wich is super wide and looks super fun to ride - I will go and check it out today.
I am in Gubbio / Umbria / Italy for two weeks - until the 20th of July - and I can tell you, it's a wonderful place!
We (Nina, Nina's parent's & me) live in a house up in the hills where you can overlook Gubbio. Just stunning! Here is a little taste of it...

I went to see SWITZERLAND win against PORTUGAL at the stadium St. Jakob in Basel. OK, to be fair - it wasn't the strongest team, Portugal could deliver, but it was still great to win at least ONE match at the EURO 08. Thanks to Dominik for the invitation - we had seats right at the middle line = AWESOME. Next match: the semi final - also in Basel. It's gonna be a BLAST!!!

I'm still waiting to gey my Buell 1125R (apparently, they have some delivery problems), meanwhile I got a Buell Lightning XB12 STT. Of course, I branded it right away with some Zimtstern stickers.
I will attend the so called Ladies Days in Hinwil this weekend! But I won't ride - it's ladies only :-) I will host the auction that will happen this Sunday evening - you can buy a paractically new machine for a few thousand Swiss Francs less then normal with the full warranty of course.
Check it out online! It's free, you don't even have to have a permit. You can come and ride a Harley-Davidson or a Buell even if you have never been on a motorcycle!

Gotthard rocked the place, it didn't rain, so no use for rubber boots - the infrastructure at the EURO CAMP in Pratteln was really good, so don't you worry if you wanna go there - it's all set up and ready for you.
I will see Gölä on the 5th of this month at the same venue. He sings songs in Swiss-German (until now, he sold the most records as a Swiss-German singing artist) and sometimes also in English (does not sell as good) and he comes from Bern, the capital of Switzerland. He even has the crest of Berne tattooed on his chest. Wow, that rhymed!

I interviewed Sara Bareilles this Monday. She is on a promo tour at the moment and she sang at Club Mascotte in Zurich. The show was great, her voice is truly amazing.
Sara is well known for her hit single "Love Song" that you have probably heard before.

This evening, I'll host the CinéCardNight of INDIANA JONES and the KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SCULL - one day before the official worldwide release.
As usual, there will be an apéro prior to the screening. The problem about that: there is no intermission - so you'll have to hold everything that you have poured into yourself - until the bloody movie is over. UNLESS of course, you show up with with one of those very practical bags.

The marantz recorder ist great! The recording quality is stunning - even in mp3 mode! It's a nice little gadget with a nice touch and feel. I love it already.

I had an excellent weekend with Nina. I first went skateboarding the BlackCrossBowl in the afternoon, then celebrating the 40th birthday of Markus (a friend of Nina's) in Muttenz and then after midnight, the 30th birthday of Gogo 'till early in the morning on the nt* Areal / Gleis 13. It was awesome - there was a live band, a ghetto fire, a bar and lots of beer and party people. We where dancing the night away. Thanks Gogo and Markus for the invitations! And thanks to Nina to be with me :-)

PRfact was founded 2'000 days ago. Yesterday, that special day was celebrated at the Kaufleuten Festsaal in Zurich.

I have been to Basel World, visiting the CASIO booth to say hello to all the people that support me with my beloved G-Shock watches.
I was quite lucky to enter the booth, just when they started to serve sushi and champagne - exelent timing!
Not only did I eat and drink delicious stuff - I also met a lot of interesting people - including 2 guys from Casio Germany: Marc and Daniel. On the picture below, you can see me with Marc, posing in front of the all new (and for a G-Shock pretty expensive) MR-G model MRG-8000. I have the predecessor, the MRG-7500 on my wrist.
Thanks a lot to Daniel for sending me this picture - I'm looking forward to join you in Poland this summer for that crazy G-Shock event you told me about :-)

I got a call from Müller & Jussel - the guys that provided me with a Buell XBS12S naked bike last year.
This year, they will give me the all new 1125R - a superbike with a 146 horsepower / 148 PS / 109 kW engine. Crazy. I'm looking forward to it. Yeehaa! Should be ready in about three weeks time.

Yesterday, my fiancée Nina had her 28th birthday! We had a nice round of people at our place and celebrated from 6 PM until midnight.
Today, my Grandmother - we just call her "Oma" - has her 90th birthday! That's more then three times Nina's age!
We will celebrate this special day today and on Sunday on Bienenberg in Liestal.
This wednesday, I was hosting the football match Switzerland vs. Germany on Radio Basel 1. It was a test game for the Euro '08. The game was being held in Basel at the Joggeli stadium.
Switzerland lost 0:4 - Boom! After the game, one of the Swiss players said "good luck it was only a test game!" True.
Well, hopefully, this game was a wake up call for the Swiss football team. We will see...

This Thuesday, I'll go to the international 78th Motor-Show in Geneva to have a look at all the new shiny dirt slings. My favorite so far: the Suzuki Kizashi. OK, it looks like an alien but I still like it. I think it looks great from all sides. Suzuki wants to bring out that car in 2010 - I hope, it's going to look identical to the concept car displayed.

I interviewed Colbie Caillat for Radio Basel 1 and later on enjoyed the Showcase with all drinks on Universal - thanks a lot. Announced where 30 minutes - played where 60 minutes. I like!
Colbie was really down to earth, answering every question with a smile, allthough she was quite tired of all the traveling... the day before, she was in Sweden, the day before that she was in Norway... and the tour goes on.
I'm listening to D'n'B over some Internet-Radio (with Winamp Radio Shoutcast), my girlfriend is sleeping on the sofa, along with Plüsch - our "House-Cat" from 3rd floor that visits us every day. It's time to go to bed now.

O'NEILL EVOLUTION 2008 was a blast - quarterpipe and halfpipe + some epic parties with free drinks from 10PM 'till 2AM - you can imagine how it was... insane.

I went Xmas shopping on the 24th - and it was actually quite nice. Got a whole bunch of stuff at MANOR and had only one person queing in front of me at the cashier desk.
Oh, and for the first time, we invited a couple of friends for brunch last Sunday to our new flat - I took some pictrues, heres is a snapshot of Nina and me.
I'll be at home for New Years Eve and from the 2nd of January, I'll be in Davos for the O'Neill Evolution Snowboard contest... looking forward to take some pictures and to go snowboarding for a few days!

Holy cow, it's weekend again. I was at the Good-Bye-Party of Soletechnology Europe in Oberwil last Friday. It was pretty peaceful an quiet - until Deniz found the RC Skateboard - yeah, a Remote Controlled, battery driven Skateboard. They even built a launch ramp.

We wanted to go to the Europapark in Rust today, to see DJ Bobo and his latest show called "VAMPIRES ALIVE". But then we went to IKEA in the morning and it took us longer then we thought - so no DJ Bobo but a peaceful afternoon at home, assembling IKEA stuff for our flat :-) it's getting so cosy over here, I don't want to go out anymore!

Today, I had the opportunity to interview Chris Daughtry and Brian Craddock from the band Daughtry. They came to visit us at Radio Basel 1. At the 2007 American Music Awards, they have won three times:
Breakthrough Artist
Best Adult Contemporary Artist and
Best Pop/Rock Album
They where really tired from the constant lack of sleep - but despite from being tired as hell, they where really happy with the success and the possibility to travel the world in order to promote their music. They actually never have the chance to really see any of the countries or cities they visit - it's all about promotion and playing gigs at the moment.
The guys where really nice and down to earth. Check out their debut album called Daughtry.
From mit December '07 until Feburary '08, they will have two months off - Chris Daughtry said, it's the first time in 4 years, he's having such a long time without any (musical) duties. On the 26th of December, Chris is going to have his 28th Birthday.

I was digging the archives of Stadtlauf.ch to see, if I find any older times then last year and I was successful - I found me in the list of 1999 where I had a time of 25 minutes and 14.9 seconds, 177th place. So I really have a steady pace :-) without any pace-maker. 0.9 seconds faster then this year!
I think in 1999 they even still had the old track profile up the Rhy-Sprung which was quite crazy.
Unfortunately, they didn't have the picture-service back then. I guess it was before the digital (-cam) revolution.

Ooops, 10 days gone by like a fingers snap.
So we've moved in exactly one week ago and we're starting already feeling like we're at home. I'm chillin' in the bed, sunday morning, watching Federer vs. Ferrer, surfin' the web wirelessly. The sun is kissing our terrace, it's just so beautiful :-)
Oh, by the way - we've got a grocery store in our street that is also open on Sundays.
Today's actually a good day to go out and skate the BCB, (Black Cross Bowl). See you around!
Oh, and Federer has won the Masters Cup in China, congrats!

I got to know Neil around seven years ago, he recognized me as the guy from "Swizz Music Television" when I was at Kaufleuten one night and stepped up to me to invite me for a beer.

Oh, that birthday party was really nice - the lounge on our terrasse was beeing used a lot.
Star of the evening was (besides Oli, celebrating his 30th birthday) a blackpuppy pug called Marie-Cocco. Nina instantly fell in love with that little thing, as you can see.
Of course we where using our grill - this time to make some delicious burgers - you know, the grill season never stops at Konradstreet 50, baby!
Oh, by the way, talking of hot stuff - tonight, I'll go to the movies to see Hot Fuzz - must be a funny movie I've heard.

This Weekend, I'm at freestyle.ch - as almost every year. Zimtstern has the biggest party-tent there and just on the other side, you can skate on a miniramp under another huge tent!

I went to see "Ewigi Liebi" Premiere last Thursday. It was lovely! If you like Swiss songs, go and see it, it's done really cool - good actors / singers, a great stage concept... I had to cry twice during that show, I was touched. But don't you worry, you'll also get to laugh a lot. Go with your loved one.

The K50-Bash was great... the floor in our crib is still sticky though... but I'm glad our floor has no carpet - it's just stone plates all over.

Happy Birthday Switzerland! I went to celebrate the Swiss National Day (1st of August) on the 31st of July and went to see the firework - they do that one night ahead, because almost everyone has the day off on the 1st of August.
Well, almost everyone as I said. I went to work at the radio from 7AM 'till 1PM. So I went home quite early.
On the 1st, I was invited at my girlfriends parents for dinner along with some other friends of the family.
PS: RoderBash'07 was great... no rain for once.

Today, we're going to shoot the pilot-show of youme.tv for StarTV. It's going to be made in Winterthur in front of the Technikum, where the youme.net cube (office) is standing at the moment.

Yesterday, I got chosen to be the host and face for youme.tv, a show that probably will be broadcasted on StarTV if everything runs smoothly. youme.tv belongs to youme.net - a community network from Switzerland. Check it out online and upload your stuff!
